Settling into position on a volcanic black sand beach, this Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle, or “honu”, needs its rest before heading back out to sea. Turtles are migratory animals that travel thousands of miles in the open ocean. Their anatomy has hardly changed in millions of years, since the time of the dinosaurs.
These two turtles really seem to have the "resort" lifestyle down.
