Settling into position on a volcanic black sand beach, this Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle, or “honu”, needs its rest before heading back out to sea. Turtles are migratory animals that travel thousands of miles in the open ocean. Their anatomy has hardly changed in millions of years, since the time of the dinosaurs.

Amongst the vast, barren landscape of lava rocks where waves crash into newly-formed volcanic land, a man finds a priceless moment alone to reflect on the beauty of the world.

This turtle knew where to sit to get the last rays of sunlight.
These two turtles really seem to have the "resort" lifestyle down.
